My dairy reflection for the year.

I think that i did well in Maths because I done some strategy right.
I think that i did not do well in reading because i always get confused when other people read fast.
I didn't use my time wisely because I was not doing it properly and not doing the right thing.
I didn’t get golden time because I never do my work properly.
I will manage to do everything properly.

Rainbows end

On the weekends I went to rainbows end and it was cool and I went for my cousin birthday and the first ride we went on was the pirate ship and that gave me butterflies. The butterflies went away because my specal is to stomp my feet.

After that we went to the fair fall and I didn't want to go because it’s high as and I had to go or i was the chicken of the day.I didn’t want to be chicken of the day so I went and I thought that little kids only go halfway but you go all the way and when the let it go I couldn’t close my mouth then when we got down my girl cousin was crying.

I felt amazing because and I was the chicken of the day because we went on other rides and I didn’t go on the rollercoaster and after that we went to hunter place in Papatoe and me and my girl cousin got Mcdonalds and my uncle and my boy cousin got butter chicken.

School camp.

Siobhan was excited because she has a school camp and she was prepared for the camp Siobhan dad was there helping the teachers put up the tents and the at night one teacher put a camp fire.

Toy making

Yesterday during the afternoon we made toys from the web site and its called Toys from trash. Most of the people in the class made coin centrifuges and I made a straw centrifuge and I was the first one to make it. Some  toys blew up and some people toys didn’t work.

After that we all were showing each other our toys some people toys were filmed by Miss Ouano  our teacher.  Some of our toy were on flickr.

People were making lots of different things, some people were making  the same toys as other people because they can’t make the first toy that they picked from toys from trash.

My great holiday

Last saturday I went to Waiwera I went with my cousin  and my auntie  and my uncle and that was for my cousin birthday and we had lots of fun because we were paying wrestling in the water.

Then we started to race down the two slides and go back up again and the loser has to stay out of the pool for ten minutes but me and my cousin came a tie and now one had to stay out on the pool and wait on the side.

After we had enough swimming we went out and got dressed and went out to Mc Donalds then we payed tiggy on the park until we had to go and hop into the  truck.

When we were driving on the motorway all of us felt exhaust, I did.

Then when this man named Byron he saw david getting push to to the open sea then byron went to go get help but there was no lifeguard and he just went to save david and bring him back to shore.

Paralympics

In the paralympics games there are 20 sports and athletes are going to compete in the sports they are playing.

The paralympics can be played in winter or summer and its held after the Olympics Games all the time.


Many athletes have no legs and they sometimes have to use wheelchairs. Paralympics events have the same rules but it will maybe change. The London 2012 paralympics will start on the 29 of August.


There will be 4000 athletes competing in twenty different sports. The games will take place on the 29th of August and the 9th of September for eleven days.

The Amazing race

On Friday the 17 of August,  we had cross country and some of us around the school were nervous about it . The 9,10,11 boys and girls had to run into the bush walk. The bush walk leads you across the road from Tamaki College  and back into the bush walk, then it goes back into the school grounds and all the way to the finish  line.

When we started the race Mr Burt banged his clappers,  then we ran. When he did that, I ran. Then when I got half way it felt like I was actually in the Olympics running on the racecourse. When i nearly got through   the gate I almost got stuck in  the mud. I had a stitch and I just keep going until I got to the finish line.

I felt proud of myself because I could do it all by myself.  


                       

Valerie Gold medal

Nick Willis said’ that Valerie Adams deserves A shiny gold medal but some people in Belarus still say that Nadzeya  deserves it. Valerie Adams wants the gold medal because the other lady cheated.  

I think Valerie Adams deserves it because when she took a drug test they said that she took steroids at the Olympics when she went against the women at shot put.  

Now she is saying that she never took drugs  and now they are looking for Valerie Adams gold medal . I hope they find it soon enough so New Zealand can have six gold medals.

Interesting News

The News last night said the Nadzeya  Ostapchuk had a steroid test and the people found out that she had taken drugs. After that Dave Currie had rang Valerie Adams and said Silver had turned into Gold.

Nadzeya Ostapchuk said that she had not taken steroids. I think that she had taken steroids and that was fair and square when Valerie Adams won her gold medal!

BMX Cycling

My Olympic event is a cycling Bmx.

Bmx started in the late 1960's at California.

Bmx racing was first in the Olympics in 2008 in Beijing.

You need to wear helmets and protective clothing and have a BMX bike.

You have to be confident.

Bmx riding is interesting because you can win gold medals.

Holiday Highlight

In the holidays I went to Rainbows End because it was my cousin's birthday on Saturday. When we got to Rainbows End we had to wait in this big line and this woman came up to us and told us to come in front and pay.

When we got inside we saw all the rides from the front entrance and the first ride that we went on was the bumper cars.  We went two times then we went to other rides. The best ride was the invader because it spins you around and circles and it goes up and down. The scariest ride was the fear fall!!!!!! because I had butterflies.

Reading
I learnt to answer questions properly and start reading faster. This term in reading I did well at answering questions sometimes. This year my reading was not that well because I needed read faster all the time. I have to prove to my teacher that i am good at reading.

Multimedia/ICT

In ICT I learnt to make a animation about pop art. This term in ict I did well on my pop art animation
I tried do well on my swimming animation.This term I need to improve on my animations.

Art Gallery

This morning  we went to the art gallery to see all of the amazing art that all of the classes had done. When I walked inside I felt amazing because all of the pictures were all cool and I liked the pictures with macaroni on it.

I liked the music and I liked the bright light's. It felt like I was in a real art gallery that famous people had made.

I saw lots of pitchers with glitter on it  and  some with macaroni.

Youth Town

Last Wednesday in the morning   room fourteen and room seventeen  was going on a trip and  when the bell rang we had to go to the hall and wait  for room seventeen to come and Miss Garden to came and talked to us about the trip and gave us instructions.

When  we got on the bus we had to go all the way to the back. After that we had to sit down and then we went to Youth Town

When we got to Youth Town, we had groups and when we got inside we had to go inside this room and when we sat down there were two women and their names were Georgia and Sue. They told us to put our bags on the side. 

After that room fourteen had to go and do clay and room seventeen had to go and get dress in the toilet to hop in the warm pool.

I liked Making clay and swimming in the warm as pool.`

                     

P.E.P.A.

Yesterday in the afternoon we went to the hall and watched P.E.P.A it was cool as because there was lots of performances. The best one that I liked was hip hop and the peoples name were Samasoni, Cruz, Lepa, Raihan and Carlos.

I liked the hip hop group because they did lots of cool moves and they were break dancing. I liked the part when they were on their neck and when they were on their head. And I liked we they were doing other things.

Biography

Andys an American artist. He was known for his creative and colourful pop art prints. Some examples of his famous art include: Marilyn 1967 and Mao 1972.


Andrew Warhola was born on August 6th 1928 and he was born in Slovakia. His parents came from Slovakia and he had Chorea disease. When he was sick he started cutting celebrities out of the magazines. Andy Warhol's mum  gave him stuff to do.


Andy warhol  went to schenley high school he had pale skin and he had white blonde hair. He loved to go to the movies and  collect  photos.

Andrew warhola died in 1987.  I think that Andy Warhol was a  talented  man.

When I did my pop art work I felt ashamed  because I ruined it and I was mixing the colours.

Did you know That Andy warhol dose pop art and he got shot three times by a very very bad! woman
and he still survived he was so lucky!                


Andy warhol makes  pop art and draws celebrities that are famous and he draws supermarkets and famous boxing people.            
Andy Warhol uses bright colours and he likes bright colours  and he draws marilyn monroe and mohammed ali different famous boing people and celebrities  and he does screen printing.

I like Andy warhol because inverts colours around and he wears different   wigs and he has his own factor that he draws his pitchers and screen prints his drawing.                      

Partly Cloudy

Today we watch a short film and it was called  partly cloudy.

 Partly cloudy is a film that is based on a myth and there was a lot of clouds. 

 Tt is set in the sky where all the clouds are.

the main characters is guss and peck  and they are friends and guss was a cloud that was under all of the clouds and guss was not very good at making things. When guss was making stuff peck was getting heart and peck went up to the other cloud that was up top and then guss was very mad and he created  a big storm and he stopped and he made it rain. The main message is that just try your best and never give up.

Swimming

On tuesday  we had to swim like a dolphin  and the we practice some other things .
We had a competition  and the  competition  was to not breath and see how far you  can go and the winner was me. I made it all the  way to the very end. 


Then the other class came then we had to get out of the pool and have a shower  and wash the chlorine off the we had to go into the changing room and get change fast. When everyone was changed waited in lines and got ready to go back to school.           

On Sunday it was Mother’s Day. I got up with my Dad and cooked some breakfast for my Mum. My Dad and I made eggs on  toast and spaghetti. When we were done we woke up my Mum and she started to eat. When she was done we took her plate and washed it and gave her a nice cold drink!

Then we took her out to visit her brother in Howick. After that we went to take my Mum for dinner at this restaurant called Denny's, then we went to go hire a movie from a video shop. We went back home and got dressed into our PJ’s, and watched the movie. The movie was called Damage and it is a fighting movie.  

I was feeling amazing because we went to a lot of different places. It was cool as day. I think that my Mum thought that Mothers day was so great

My best holidays

Guess What I did in  the holidays? I went to a train station and catched a train to Sylvia Park and went to buy me some shoes and some clothes. We went to buy some food to eat then caught a train back to G.I.  When we got there we hopped into a taxi and it drove us back home.
     

My favourite things

Oktapodi

In room fourteen we watched a short film about two octopus in love and a chief man came and took the female octopus. It was set in a village in the Greek Islands in Greece .

The female and male octopus were in love and they never could be separated. But the very dangerous battle began when the chef separated them.

The message of this movie is to help your friends and not to give up.

My favourite part was the female octopus going to save the male octopus by swinging on the line.

Camp!

Last week on Wednesday there was a year 5 and 6 camp at school. There were many activities. I like rollerblading because  we could go outside. When you go too fast, you might fall down and you will be in pain! When you go up where the gate is and go down you might fall over and hurt  you head.



At camp we did kayaking, we had to put on our life jacket. When we started some people went with a buddy and some of them went by themselves . Some people were  scared and people were crashing into the rocks, other people were on the other side of the big rock.

We had to go sleep in our tent. If anyone screamed they will get send to another tent. In the tent some people were scaring the person next to them and telling them scary stories. In the morning when I woke up, and got changed inside the tent and it was wet.

Blindfold Experience

Guess what? Room fourteen did an obstacle course in the hall. We had to get into partners. The other partner has to blindfold you and they have to guide us without touching us. The course had tackle bags, cones, ropes, foam mattress and hula hoops. When we tried it out all of us felt nervous, worried, scared, and terrible. Only one person was injured.

Great Things Take Time!

I want to get better at all the sports I play. I have to be confident and be organised so I can get better at all sports. Guess what? J.K Rowling Sold 450 million copies of her books. It took her five years to write her first book.

To make your work perfect you need to plan it, write it, check it, then edit it. If you rush you might get it wrong and people won’t understand what you are writing about.

Taking time is good because you can do the things you want to do perfectly.
